ODRC provides the resources and support individuals need to become successful, responsible citizens during and after incarceration.

Systems & Services

To support our mission of reducing recidivism among those we touch, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has developed systems and services to help individuals become educated, lawful, and physically and emotionally healthy members of society during and after incarceration.

Education & Training

The Ohio Central School System (OCSS) provides educational programs to help incarcerated individuals develop academically, socially, emotionally, and vocationally, preparing them to become productive global citizens through excellence in education.

Medical Services

The Bureau of Medical Services provides incarcerated individuals with excellent medical care, as well as education regarding health conditions and disease prevention. Care is provided at on-site infirmaries, skilled nursing facilities, and The Ohio State University Medical Center.

Behavioral Health Services

The Bureau of Behavioral Health Services offers person-centered mental health care to help incarcerated individuals achieve optimal wellness and build a foundation on which they can maximize their potential.
