We are pleased to announce that the Corrections Training Academy has partnered with several entities in an effort to offer educational opportunities to employees of the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. The colleges and universitites listed below offer a wide range of programming including Criminal Justice certificate programs while working towards a degree in Criminal Justice.

The Union Education Trust
The Union Education Trust probides a comprehensive program of training initiatives for State of Ohio bargaining unit employees. The Trust develops programs that assist bargaining unit employees advance their careers, improve their quality of work life and work towards achieving employment security. Trust programs provide financial assistance to defray the cost of empoyees participating in education and training programs including:
- Basic Skills development
- Technical and computer skills training
- College credit programs
- Workshops, conferences and seminars
- Vocational and specialty programs
The trust also supports a robust career counseling program, and training and education for labor/management programs.
Learning and Professional Development - EDF
This program for Exempt, OEA-NEA, and 1199 staff provides the opportunity for continued growth and learning, and we encourage all eligible State of Ohio employees to use it. Staff will find everything needed to participate in the program on this site.
