21 July NERC Hosts NE Regional Leadership Meeting July 21, 2017 By ODRC Institutions, Northeast Reintegration Center (NERC) NERC, NE Region, Todd Ishee, Recidivism, Workplace Civility, Addiction and Recovery 0 The Northeast Reintegration Center was host to the Northeast Regional Leadership Meeting conducted by Regional Director Todd Ishee. The purpose of this meeting is to rally key prison leadership in order to foster discussion while gaining a better understanding of national and local penological issues that must be addressed and to engage all leaders in problem solving processes that will bring about positive change, increased efficiency, and a reduction in recidivism in the prisons in Ohio’s Northeast region, as well as to highlight what’s working well within the region. Some of the agenda items for this leadership meeting included “Offender Job Assignments and implementation of an Interest Plan” at the Lorain Correctional Reception Center by Unit Management Chief Laura Solnick, “Workplace Civility” presented by Human Resource Operations Analyst Tina Mawhorr, and a presentation of the NERC S.T.R.O.N.G. Addiction & Recovery Unit by Warden Brande Harris and Unit Manager Alex Figueiredo which included a tour and presentation by Unit staff and offender residents of that Unit.
