10 October OSP Women in Corrections Participated in the Annual Day of Caring October 10, 2018 By ODRC Institutions, Ohio State Penitentiary (OSP) OSP, Women in Corrections, Annual Day of Caring, Mahoning Valley, United Way, Taft Promise Neighborhood, Youngstown Mayor Tito Brown 0 OSP Women in Corrections participated in the 21st Annual Day of Caring sponsored by United Way of Mahoning Valley. The women worked in the Taft Promise Neighborhood clearing debris from sidewalks, cut trees, picking up trash and trimming bushes. There were 1000 generous volunteers working across the Mahoning Valley. Several other agencies participated in this event by installing smoke detectors, landscaping offices, packing and delivering food to seniors in need, and painting buildings. Youngstown City Mayor Tito J. Brown was also on hand to thank the volunteers for giving back to the community.
