3 October NCI Offender Population Offered Opportunity to Participate in Financial Management Classes October 3, 2018 By ODRC Institutions, Noble Correctional Institution (NCI) NCI, Financial Management Classes, Jennifer Tackett, Volunteer, Woodforest National Bank, Money Smart Program, Doug Schaad 0 Financial Management classes are currently being taught to offenders at Noble Correctional Institution (NCI) by volunteer Jennifer Tackett, Branch Manager, from Woodforest National Bank in Cambridge, Ohio. Jennifer visits NCI once a week and teaches a two-hour morning session dedicated to NCI’s Reintegration Unit; then another two-hour afternoon session available to the general population. The curriculum is based on the Money Smart program offered by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and runs for ten weeks. It gives offenders an opportunity for the introduction into basic banking services taught by a trained bank employee. Staff advisor, Correctional Program Specialist Doug Schaad, reached out to Jennifer and recruited her as a routine volunteer to teach at NCI.
